I would recommend The Boy in Striped Pajamas and Song of Achilles. Both of them broke me in unimaginable ways. Also, all the 3 Greek mythology books by Stephen Fry, namely Mythos, Heroes and Troy. I am currently reading his 4th one Odyssey, which is interesting too
