4 reasons why you need to binge watch Panchayat season 4 now!
If you want to watch a light hearted comedy show during the week after a long day at work, this is the best show to watch with your family at the dinner table.
If you haven’t watched Panchayat on Amazon Prime, you are definitely missing out on one of the best web series to have come out of India. The heartfelt comedy show, rooted in a village will make you laugh, cry and root for the characters from the start. And they have just come out with their much anticipated Season 4.
Here are some reasons you should watch it too!
The comedy is back
For the last two seasons, the focus had shifted more to the exploration of the problematic nuances of characters. However, with this one, the funny situations they found themselves in started from the first episode with a drunk Abhishek’s antics and continued till later, and you will know that when you see Master Ji from the first season still on his antics under the haunted tree.
The innocence and relatability
If you have also grown up watching Tarrak Mehta ka Ooltah Chasmah, then you know the fights between Bhide and Jethalal were epic. Similarly, the rivalry and the campaigning for elections carry the same innocence, till they turn sour.
On top of that, you have scenes that are relatable to every Indian kid like making your parents pose for photographs, doing their hair mehendi and face mask at home and running behind them to put perfume when going out.
Characters that shone through the screen
We got our Prahalad Chacha back. While I loved Faisal Malik’s performance, I also missed his carefree side and the childlike relationship he had with Pradhan Ji and Manju Devi as Bhabhi.
The gravitas with which he plays the emotional scenes will still make you cry with him in this season, but you will also find yourself laughing with him.
And while Neena Gupta has remained a favorite, it was her father’s character that was more endearing in Season 4.
In just one episode, Nana Ji’s honesty, even in pointing out his own daughter’s mistakes, and wise words would remind you of your own elders. And you will agree that though they might sound rude, their intentions are pure.
Add to the mixture, Binod, a trending meme from Season 2. Yet, you find layers to him in this season that will make you root for the man and the heart he possesses.
Young love
We see the blossoming relationship, the sneaking around of Abhishek and Rinki, the stolen glances and the romantic moments, with a bit of bickering.
And you can’t help but hope for more.
While I am content with the ending they have given this time, I am sure people will still crave for more seasons of this amazing series.
