Will I watch Demon Slayer before they release the new movies? Haha, Yes!
And it will all be because of my FOMO! I can't help it.
Little brother told me about it yesterday while we were having dinner, Demon Slayer. According to his friend group, all fans of anime, it is the best one. And the only one he has watched. I have also heard about it but never got into it.
Once, I had bought a manga book Monster because I liked the cover (Yes, I do judge and buy a book by its cover), only to realize that its read backwards. And also I might have bought the later parts and not the first one to start. It now lives a sad life in my TBR at the back of my cupboard.
So, I have respectfully stayed away from the hole anime and manga world.
The only anime movie I have watched is Ramayana: The legend of Prince Rama, from childhood. So, I was curious when he told me more about the series.
Apparently, it is the highest grossing Japanese movie of all time. But the more interesting thing is that it is a television series, and yet they combine the last episode of previous season and the first episode of the upcoming one to release in theatres for the fans. And now, they have split the remaining story into three movies.
I have never heard about anything like this. The base story of a brother trying to cure his sister who has turned into a demon while getting rid of the king sounds interesting. And the concept of breaking the story into arcs is also unique for me.
But the FOMO has hit me hard with his convincing power, and just the idea of being a part of community that roots for something creative is something that I am always looking for.
Do you wanna join me as I try to watch the whole series before the movie releases in India on September, 12. Maybe I should start watching it in August. Will you?
